Rancho Mirage is one of the nine cities of the Coachella Valley, located between Cathedral City and Palm Desert. Rancho Mirage, with a population of 16,700 has long been known for the many celebrities that settled here years ago such as Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers and Dinah Shore. These are all now street names. Eisenhower Medical Center and the Betty Ford Center are located on Bob Hope Drive. There are many hiking trails and public parks to enjoy as well as the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater which is a popular spot for concerts and film showings.
 
The City is home to the region’s most luxurious resorts such as The Ritz Carlton-Rancho Mirage and The Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa. Rancho Mirage has pockets of private neighborhoods around the resort areas, some with views overlooking the valley or backing up to the San Jacinto Mountains. Mission Hills Country Club and Sunrise Country Club are a couple of the popular residential country clubs in the city of Rancho Mirage.
